For people who are looking into engineering careers, it has long been known that you are looking at long study with an impressive reward, but what are your options and what do you need to know? The truth of the matter is that there are actually many advantages and disadvantages when you are thinking about going to work in the electrical engineering field, and if you are considering engineer jobs in general, there are many thins that you are going to have to keep in mind.

The first thing that you should realize when you are looking at engineering jobs is that job satisfaction is quite high. Most people in the field would recommend it to their friends and children; and many people like the companies that they work for. People who are in this field tend to be naturally inquisitive and at the end of the day, they are people who love to know how things work. Knowledge has a half-life, the same way that nuclear chemicals and components do, and when your knowledge is out of date, you might find that you will lose your position. It is also important to understand that the US wages for electrical engineers is going to be higher than those for other countries. This can lead to issues where outsourcing and the loss of old jobs becomes an issue.
