- Think of the overall composition, regardless on the number of pictures, as a single design element. Creating a perfectly aligned arrangement requires patience.
- There's no substitute for good old trial and error. Make a template of each picture or object by tracing around it on brown paper. Then tack each template in place to experiment with the arrangement before nailing the actual items.
- As a good rule of thumb, place a picture's centerpoint at eye level, about 63 to 66 inches from the floor. If hanging them over furniture, put them 6 to 8 inches above the piece.
- There are many options for mounting pictures securely. Picture hooks are reted according to the number of pounds they will support. use small nails and if possible use the studs for mounting pictures on walls to avoid any damage to the wall.
- Leveling instruments such as laser levels, spirit levels or bubble levels are a must for multiple picture design.
