The IT Provider Manager for the Differentiated Support services is responsible for managing the delivery and support of an effective global computing platform working in collaboration with other Service Delivery, Application teams and Global Enterprise Service partners to ensure IT delivers on its commitments. This role is responsible for managing the overall IT Infrastructure delivery for the Global Manufacturing Operations organization.
Key responsibilities will include;
Successful delivery of all IT services in support of data rooms/closets, network cabling, wireless communication, IP Telephony, Server, Storage and networking equipment
The point of contact for the Infrastructure Services Organization and all aspects of the Hosting (IT Infrastructure), Network (connectivity) and IT services delivered to the Global Manufacturing organization
Responsibilities will include Hosting Operations support of all Manufacturing sites in the US and Puerto Rico. The duties will include liaising with External Service Providers (ESP’s) ensuring compliance and acting as a point of escalation for all Global Manufacturing IT Hosting issues within the region. This person will collaborate with the Service Providers and internal teams within BMS in support of Incident/Problem management and CAPA coordination. Included in the responsibilities will be to provide leadership and guidance to the Manufacturing Support Leads (MSL’s) in each of the manufacturing plants in the US and Puerto Rico. Monitor services in market regarding quality, performance, costs and reliability as they pertain to Hosting Operations. Assure ESP’s compliance to committed service level agreements (SLAs) and manage any formal recovery plans that result from an SLA miss. The individual will provide local guidance and oversight to mitigate risk and provide consistent support and process in alignment with the U.S., EMEA and APAC Hosting teams.
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or Life Sciences.
A minimum of 10 years related experience working in a global corporation is essential.
An understanding of data room/center facilities Infrastructure support is essential as well as an understanding of diverse hosting technologies including virtualization, high availability and Disaster Recovery technologies.
You will also be part of a global team to provide 24x7x365 operational support coverage, as part of a larger team which includes supporting an on-call rotation.
Previous experience supporting in a manufacturing environment would be preferred.
The candidate will have demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels. Demonstrated strong analytical skills and strong relationship management skills are essential.
