ENSCO Avionics, Inc. is seeking Hardware Engineers with experience in full life cycle development for Avionics DO-254 Firmware and digital design systems. Initial work will be requirements through integration of VHDL coded FPGA devices. Tasks would include generation of PLD requirements, verification plans, VHDL source code, design synthesis, place & route, internal timing analysis, power dissipation analysis, test bench design, simulation verification, hardware test procedures, and all associated drawings and documentation. Throughout the cycle the position will utilize industry best practice engineering and development processes and will consider both the business and the technical needs of the end user with the goal of providing a quality product that satisfies those needs. Position will be an integral part of a diverse development team and must be willing to perform at whatever level is needed to complete the task. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years’ related experience Must be a U.S. CitizenExperience with Commercial/Military Avionics engineering development processExperience with FPGA/PLD design including requirements development, preliminary design & verification plan, VHDL coding, verification including test procedure generation & execution, design release, and all associated reviewsExperience with VHDL synthesis using Synopsys Synplify toolExperience with device place & route using manufacturer-specific tools including Microsemi/Actel Designer/Libero, Altera Quartus II, Xilinx ISEExperience using ModelSim/Questa for design pre-route and post-route simulation and code coverageExperience with DO-254 process including PHAC & HAS generation and SOI review involvementExcellent interpersonal skills including working in team environmentsExcellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients and colleaguesAbility to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance is required for this position, for which, you must be a U.S. CitizenDesign experience with Microprocessor/Microcontroller interfaces such as I2C, SPI, CAN bus ARINC-825; memory interfaces such as SDRAM controllers, Flash, SRAM; serial interfaces (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, RS422, RS485, AFDX ARINC-664)VME/VXI Hardware experienceConfiguration Management experience including DOORS, Synergy, Razor, and WindchillExperience with Matlab and Simulink for auto-generation of FPGA codeScript generationActive DOD Secret Security Clearance#LI-MM1For more than 35 years, ENSCO Avionics has developed sophisticated airborne systems for the aerospace industry to meet DO-178C, DO-254, DO-278A, and military standards for manned and unmanned systems.
