Job Summary

Responsible for all aspects of development and support for Amazon Web Services in Comcast Cyber Security with a focus on API development, enhancement, and maintenance. Core AWS environment includes Glue, Python, Redshift, SQL, and S3. Existing API have been developed in Ruby. Significant integration with outside systems and experience building and maintaining APIs. Experienced working as part of an agile development team.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Proven practical experience in AWS cloud usage for large enterprise applications

Hands on experience developing APIs deployed in an AWS environment using Ruby

Is a creative problem solver with practical experience in microservices architectures

Must have experience with deploying at scale various containerized web and data applications and services using technologies such as Docker, Lambda, batch services, ECS, ECR

Continuously monitor support queue to address all incoming user issues

Correct system issues through configuration and scripting

Identifying system issues as needed and mitigating or escalating as required

Monitor system alerts to better detect and respond to outages/incidents

Engage vendor for support as required

Access provisioning for tools support within department

Helps to set standards and audits those standards

Consistent exercise of independent judgment

Supports remote and onsite users

Education

Bachelor's Degree
