Twilio is growing rapidly and looking for a Software Engineer in the Flex Business Unit. You will work with product managers, architects and other engineering leaders to design and build the next generation multi-channel asynchronous messaging platform for Flex. You will have the opportunity to own, operate and maintain your team’s services in a distributed production environment, employing agile methodologies to continuously deliver value to customers.

Who?

We are looking for a Software Engineer with a proven track record of designing and implementing high scalable software services. They will have:

5 years experience in designing, building and operating high-scale, mission critical cloud based production systems.

Strong experience with Java.

Experience with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.

Focus on designing and implementing systems for scalability, testability, supportability and maintainability.

Experience with event or time based streaming technologies.

Experience owning and operating services end-to-end, from debugging and testing to release management and monitoring.

Extensive experience with REST API design and implementation.

Good understanding and hands on experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

WRITE IT DOWN: Evaluate opportunities, risk and technical strategies and provide key findings to internal stakeholders.

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado.

Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well.

Salary:

Denver/Boulder Metro:

Salary Range: $109,824 - $137,280

Rest of Colorado:

Salary Range: $96,096 - $120,120

Non Sales:

Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
