Description
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
Where you Come In
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will assist in implementing automation solutions for enterprise consumption of provider data. You will collaborate with business partners to identify business use cases and gather business requirements. You will have the opportunity to coordinate with our technical team throughout the Software Development Life Cycle to develop high volume, real-time and batch data delivery products for Humana.
You will research complex data problems, coordinate and complete testing of the applications and data products developed by the technical team. You will also be a key player in data certification, data stewardship and engagement with the Humana Data Governance Office to ensure high quality and transparency of Enterprise Provider Data.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills are essential to this role. The ideal candidate with have strong technical skills and a desire to learn new technologies and apply mathematical principles to enable automation solutions for Humana.

Required Qualifications - What it takes to Succeed
Bachelor's Degree
At least 3 years' experience with data analytics, reporting tools and techniques including tools such MS SQL, Oracle or SAS.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Familiar with at least one of the systems: Python, MongoDB, Swagger, Postman, StreamSets, Kafka, Graph Database, JSON, XML, APIs, GCP, Azure and newer Cloud technologies.
Passionate about learning new data delivery tools and technologies for business use
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Work-At-Home Requirements
Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other equivalent field
Experience in assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis.
Experience connecting together provider datasets for healthcare business needs.
Experience with master data management techniques.
Work experience with any of the newer cloud technologies running on Azure/GCP/AWS including Python, MongoDB, Swagger, Postman, StreamSets, Kafka, Graph Database, JSON, XML, APIs, etc.
Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions.
