Job Description We are currently seeking qualified individuals to help us respond to exciting opportunities involving the purification of industrial process water. VWT specializes in water treatment filtration and separation systems for a variety of industrial processes. The Auto-Jet, Filtra-Matic, Autoflot, and Power Clean are some of our proprietary technologies installed in Gold and Silver Mining, Chemical Processing, and Oil & Gas plants.
Qualifications The following is required for this position:
● A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the production of packaged process equipment,
preferably for treatment of industrial water streams.
● Candidates must possess as a minimum a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil
Engineering, or equivalent experience.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● An innate ability to close out task lists, i.e. get things done.
● Confidentiality and non-compete agreement.
● Thorough understanding of packaged process equipment utilizing pumps, valves, instrumentation
and controls, and the manufacturing processes utilized for packaging of same.
● Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
● Experienced in design of piping systems, pressure vessels, and steel structures.
● Ability to specify, size, study control valves, piping, and pumps.
● Problem solving thinking, ability to plan, multi task, organize, and manage time.
● Experience in engineering of projects involving the production of capital equipment.
● Expert level required in: Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Powerpoint).
● Intermediate level required in: Google apps suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets).
● Intermediate level required in: AutoCAD.
Some Responsibilities Include:
● Review technical specifications required for projects.
● Specify equipment and components used in process equipment.
● Work directly with internal Engineering personnel to ensure document deliverables are on time and
in compliance with project specifications.
● Work with the design team to create all designs and drawings needed for project execution.
● Define scope of supply for suppliers, and write procurement specifications and requests for
quotation.
● Review and approve physical designs of equipment from both our internal engineering department
as well as from third-party suppliers.
● Periodic inspection of equipment from suppliers.
● Participate in regular status meetings and have all information ready to report to others.
● May be called upon to visit clients or suppliers at their domestic or international locations.
