ADP is hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager, Advanced Analytics for the newly formed HR Outsourcing (HRO) Analytics organization. The Senior Technical Project Manager, Advanced Analytics is responsible for leading project management, delivery and execution for advanced analytics teams within HRO Analytics. You will partner with the business, analytics team members and other cross-functional teams to problem solve, develop and deliver analytics outputs. This role will have no direct reports, but will lead a cross-functional technical team. This will be a highly collaborative position with significant opportunity to work closely with leaders. The Senior Technical Project Manager, Advanced Analyticswill report to the Head of HRO Analytics Strategic Pod Ops.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Key Responsibilities:

Understand business needs, strategic objectives, processes, how data and analytics are used, and the link between data and analytics strategy and business strategy

Shapes the team vision / roadmap and steers the team in delivering data and analytics solutions oriented around business impact

Develops project schedules, as well as facilitates release planning, sprints planning, and demos with stakeholders

Prioritizes backlog; uses business expertise and understanding of analytics needs to translate requirements into acceptance criteria

Acts as bridge between executives and team members by serving as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders from project inception through completion. Regularly reports status to stakeholders and ensures delivery according to schedule and budget

Plans resourcing for the team (i.e., new role, change in role), creates requests, and onboards members that join the pod

Demonstrates understanding of Acceptance Test Driven development, DevOps principles (e.g., automation, CI/CD), data/system integration needs, and connections with adjacent products/services

Demonstrates understanding of non-functional product requirements (e.g., engineering, architecture, security, and access control)

Demonstrates understanding of solution technical capability needs (e.g., resilience, scalability, performance, reliability)

Ensures the data analytics solution meets relevant security, privacy, and compliance standards

Drives selection of solution options, works with data stewards, data engineers, data scientists, and analytics translators to arrive at the best solutions, balancing business needs and technical feasibility

Drives reporting and analytics to provide visibility on team performance and team satisfaction, as well as monitors sprint metrics and user results

Provide end-to-end project management to ensure on-time, quality analytics deliverables and owns and manages project-related documentation

Understand and deploy frameworks to track dependencies across product teams (e.g., dependency mapping, backlog grooming, risk registry, BRP)

Can articulate a go to market plan that identifies change management needs and resourcing requirements

Counsel teams leveraging frameworks (e.g., scrum) and organizes teamwork and interactions using agile tools and metrics

Problem solve with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to:

Source data and build pipelines

Select appropriate models (from a business lens, not technical)

Support model testing (from a business lens, not technical)

Ensure relevant insights are derived

Ensure effective deployment

Able to simplify and streamline product delivery by breaking down complex features, identify the riskiest assumptions and flag potential dependencies

To succeed in this role:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, statistics, or related fields; advanced degree preferred

3 to 5 years of experience in leading a cross functional agile product or solution development team with demonstrated success

Experience in setting priorities for a team, managing a product backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, and removing blockers (e.g., burndown chart, release burn up)

Deep understanding of agile methodologies and what makes teams successful

Broad knowledge in business, analytics (e.g., machine learning, statistical testing), data engineering, and technology

A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. If you don't have a college degree, other acceptable experiences could include:

Experience noted above, OR

Military experience where skills including teamwork, adaptability, organization, and follow-through will help you build team and client relationships, identify solutions, and achieve success

Preferred Qualifications

Scrum Master Certification

Python or SQL preferred

Jira and Confluence preferred

Proven ability to efficiently learn and solve new business domains and problems

Nice to have experience with popular open-source or commercial optimization libraries (e.g. Gurobi, CPLEX)

Knowledge with dashboarding tools (e.g., Dash, Shiny, Tableau)

Nice to have knowledge with MLOps infrastructure (e.g., Databricks, MLflow) and containerization and managing production pipelines and microservices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
