Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Reliability, Risk and Resilience Sciences group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Software Developer/Engineer.
Our team works an on-site 9x80 schedule located at our Research Education Campus with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
Staff member responsible for supporting activities performed by Reliability, Risk, and Resilience Sciences Department. This support is with respect to both national and international customers requiring development of advanced risk analysis methods or tools for various applications.
The staff member should have basic to advanced skill and experience in at least several of the following programming areas:
Object Oriented Programming (.NET, Python)
Web development (HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, etc.)
Web Application Frameworks/Libraries (Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
Knowledge of common database systems
User Interface design
The staff member will support the maintenance and upgrading of a variety of legacy systems, as well as development of new software capabilities to support risk and reliability analysis. Staff member does not require knowledge of risk analysis methodologies, but they will need to be willing to learn these skills. Staff member is a part of a small team responsible for all facets of software development: design, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, and maintenance.
Staff member requires skills in organization, display, and retrieval of complex or scientific data.
Staff member will start out working on project(s) teams to building effective internal relationships and a spirit of cooperation, teamwork, resource sharing, and mutual respect for those within the Department as well as within the Nuclear Safety & Regulatory Research Division. The staff member is encouraged to participate in professional activities, university interactions, special assignments, and external special interest groups. The staff member will be groomed to contribute to the development of new capabilities within the department. Products and deliverables may include scientific and technical products, as well as contributions to conference and journal papers, reports, and proceedings.

Job Information:
Salary Grade 190 ($68,820 - $113,644) / 210 ($91,032 - $150,156)
