Summary:
The Process Development Engineer-II will be responsible for organizing, planning, managing, and executing process development and cost reduction projects for Retail Club Foodservice and International businesses.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Support Supply Chain and BU function in manufacturing of products that meet customer and consumer expectation for character cost and quality in assigned product category.
Effectively manage and recommend projects that will lead to opportunity for innovation, growth, and profitability.
Mentor interns of the process development department.
Provide technical support to the Product Development Business Units BU and Supply Chain in the area of technical expertise.
Work with project teams to investigate and recommend methods, processes, systems, and equipment to bring assigned project to successful conclusion.
Requirements:
Education: BS or MS Process Development Engineering or related field
Experience: 4 years total; plus 2 years in an advanced technical position managing cross-functional teams and Processing suppliers
Proficient with product and Processing interactions, sustainability food protections and package testing; Knowledgeable in Processing equipment and working with supply chain engineering on capital projects involving Processing solutions
Computer Skills: Requires basic computer skills. For example generating simple letters, spreadsheets and creating simple queries. Familiarity with AutoCAD Solid Works Space claim modeling software etc. is a plus.
Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills required. Presentation skills required. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with cross functional business partners
Special Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong project management skills. Strong planning and organizational skills.
Travel: 30% (domestic or international)
Supervisory Responsibilities: May have 1 direct report
