Position Purpose
What’s the role –
This role provides a setting for continuous challenge and provides opportunities to positively impact our business in delivering safe and reliable operations. This role gives the employee an advantaged position to deploy specialty skills, while developing new ideas and solutions across the integrated production system.
This role is a Chemical Engineering position supporting Deepwater Americas Gulf of Mexico operations, development, and project delivery. The focus of the role is on delivery as part of the Asset Natural Team in our Gulf of Mexico operations. As a member of the GOM Chemical Engineering Team, asset contribution will be expected in the areas of production chemistry, flow assurance, water management, integrity management, and waterflood excellence through many processes imbedded in the organization. These processes include, but are not limited to, Well Reservoir and Facility Management, Fluid Risk Management, and PEI/Integrity Management/Manage Equipment Care. Additionally, special projects that span the Gulf of Mexico operatoins will be staffed/executed by a Chemical Engineer that fall outside the scope of direct asset support.
As a Chemical Engineer in Gulf of Mexico operations your primary accountabilities include:
Deliver asset value through work processes including-– RCA/Causal Learning, Management of Change, Ensure Safe Production,Well Reservoir and Facility Management (WRFM), Product Quality, Daily Performance Reviews, Hazops, IAP, Manage Threats and Opportunities, Deepwater Well Delivery
Serve as the asset focal point for specialty chemicals programsdelivering surveillance, performance management, and continuous improvement
Discipline Proactive Technical Monitoring - Develop, Maintain, Execute & Improve
Engage with Technology, WRFM and Development teams on full range of well and reservoir management areas including well intervention activities, waterflood, H2S prediction/management and Technology Deployment
Operations Guidelines, Troubleshooting, Integrated System Performance of multiple topsides systems including waterflood, oil dehydration, produced water deoiling, Integrated Production System optimization, Chemical systems management and chemical injection hardware
Project support and integration
Skills & Requirements
What we need from you –
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering or related engineering (Chemical Engineering Desired)
3 or more years of industry experience.
Systems understanding and troubleshooting skills to be applied from office, home, or onsite in the offshore environment
Industry operational experience and understanding of production chemistry/flow assurance management practices in Deepwater systems including surface separation,utilitiesmanagement, and waterflood operations.
Demonstrated personal commitment to Safety as a Value is required
Experience with surface and subsurface disciplines and processes
Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams for effective delivery
Communicate effectively with operations, onshore team members, leadership
