Profile

ENSCO, Inc., is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to be part of a dynamic team, working on a cutting-edge program in support of national security objectives. The position will support a DoD program, to deliver complex hardware solutions implemented in AI/MIL capabilities.  The system is a hardware and software end-to-end iterative development to address the JPEO CWMD office CBRN Wearables objectives, comprised in part of the use of wearables technologies in order to detect physiological stressors at an individual level, and overall force readiness at a macro level. At the conclusion of the first development iteration, the system will be comprised of TRL 9 components (i.e. sensors, communications and network devices, computers and edge computing devices, cloud-based repositories and algorithms), which are integrated by the ENSCO-developed FAILSAFES software. The entire FAILSAFES Proof-of-Concept system will be delivered to internal as well as customer-sponsored field testing, with the system being demonstrated in a mission relevant environment. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND). The ideal candidate will be familiar with the JPEO CBRND overall missions, and specifically familiar with integration of wearable capabilities which can be integrated into a single system to meet mission objectives. The work is mission critical and involves solving real-world problems. Tasks include:Develop and integrate wearable hardware that provide data to the AI/ML capabilitiesIntegrate wearable hardware into the Army’s tactical internet, which includes existing and emerging tactical internetConduct hardware and firmware static code analysesWork with Software and Systems Engineers to define, test and optimize product sensor dataNetworking and CommsSign-on/Relocation Bonus Available, Hybrid/Remote OpportunityBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field5 years of hardware engineering experienceExperience with hardware designs and solutions for wearable devicesHands-on product engineering experience in the product life cycleExperience with wearables, consumer electronics products, and mobile (Android preferred) platformsExperience implementing wireless/network protocolsKnowledge about processors, sensors, and interfacesMaster’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related fieldActive Secret Clearance#LI-WL1The National Security Solutions (NSS) Division focuses on solutions for the toughest problems in defense, intelligence, and homeland security missions.
