Against that backdrop, we are seeking a talented software engineering/architecture professional to join our team as Principal Cloud Solutions Engineer. In this role you will lead the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level software platforms related to cloud computing. Your work will span a wide range of problems that vary greatly in terms of their scope and complexity.
As a Principal Cloud Solutions Engineer you will provide expert advice, counsel and technical expertise to ensure successful planning, development and deployment of best-in-class technology solutions for Humana on hybrid cloud platforms. You will also apply principles related to Cloud, Cloud Data Storage, DevSecOps, and DataOps to the design, engineering, implementation and management of our applications, and will play a key role in our exciting journey to transform and modernize our applications. In addition, you will assess the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards, in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Finally, you will advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
We are open as to the location of this position, although we strongly prefer a location in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Perform technical planning, architecture development, development and modification of specifications, architecture blueprints for cloud computing products/services, applications, service offerings and environments
Develop and advise on standards, best practices, and reference designs for the implementation of solutions
Demonstrate strong hands-on ability to code and build the components, reference architectures and coach/show other engineers.
Champion the implementation of DevOps, Quality and Security processes (Continuous Integration, Automated Builds, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Automated Testing, Automated Security Scans through certified build and release pipelines)
With minimal supervision, exercise independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and on matters requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action
Key Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience (typically 10 years) as a senior software engineer and architect for large IT projects. He/she will have broad and deep expertise in MDM technical architectural, detailed design, and implementation styles. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required.
In addition to the above, the following technical qualifications and personal attributes are also sought:
Experience in integrating heterogeneous systems to MDM real-time, near real-time & batch implementations
Establish and implement best practices, frameworks, governance, and roadmap on MDM
API management platforms & providing / consuming RESTful APIs
Relational Database Architecture (SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL) experience
Experience with one or more NoSQL technology (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, Couchbase, CouchDB, Hadoop HDFS, HBase, Hive, etc.)
Experience with implementation of Event driven architecture using Kafka, Spark or similar technologies
Experience with one or more of the following programming languages (.Net, .Net Core, Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, C/C )
Knowledge of, and experience in Agile Scrum/SAFe methodology as well as software development lifecycles in general
Experience authoring reference architectures and other engineering documentation
Prior project architect and/or Lead Software Engineer experience
Experience delivering and deploying cloud native data solutions on one of the public cloud providers such GCP, Azure or AWS.
Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs and win their co-ownership in the outcome
Experience with providing strategic advice and guidance to leadership and functional teams
Successful demonstrated experience in working with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies
Azure and or other cloud certification
Experience in migrating from IBM MDM to Reltio MDM SaaS solution
