The Senior Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for implementing Software and Performance Testing best practices as it supports The Sherwin-Williams Company.  This includes an ongoing analysis of best practices and tools to be used by the Performance Testing team.  It is expected that the incumbent will work closely and maintain strong working relationships with the Product, Infrastructure, and Cloud Teams, as well as the Business Owners/Customers as needed to obtain testing specifications and deliver performance testing results.  This individual will also assist as needed on any project where performance testing assistance is requested. Essential Functions Strategy & Planning •            Provide guidance and leadership to the Performance Testing Team in performance testing best practices and use of performance testing tools. •            Coordinate the development and execution of performance/load tests to support all software applications and web sites/applications within The Sherwin-Williams Company. •            Develop, maintain, and utilize best practices in performance/load testing. •            Develop, maintain, and utilize standards in reporting of performance/load testing results; this would include reports, graphs, charts, and presentation materials. •            Collaborate with software and web engineers, project managers, and system owners for test planning and test execution. Acquisition & Deployment •            Assist with the development and execution of automated tests that support automated testing performed in all software applications within The Sherwin-Williams Company •            Aid with the installation and training of team members on software testing tools. •            Provide support to the QA effort on Test automation projects (Domestic & Global) including performance testing. •            Assist with implementation and validation of Observability capabilities. Operational Management •            Perform load testing and associated reporting on web sites, web applications, Oracle applications and other software applications within The Sherwin-Williams Company. •            Gather and analyze performance test requirements, write performance tests, design, and execute performance tests. •            Maintain the existing performance test assets. •            Ensure all defects found in performance testing are recorded, reported, tracked, and processed. •            Partner with Application and/or Project Teams in the analysis of performance results and logs. •            Conduct performance result reviews and provide recommended tuning opportunities. •            Provide support to the Network Team by developing and maintaining Vugen scripts that enable network traffic and responses to be monitored and captured. •            Assist in the evaluation, maintenance, and upgrade of the performance testing toolset.  •            Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members and Professional Apprentices in testing best practices and test tool usage. Incidental Functions •            Assist with other projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work. •            Attend meetings on behalf of team. •            Assist in test tool evaluation as may be needed. •            Participate in hiring activities and fulfilling affirmative action obligations and ensuring compliance with the equal employment opportunity policy.  •            Some travel as required. •            Work outside the standard office 7.5 hour work day may be required. Remote Eligible Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification •            Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.  Knowledge & Experience •            5 years IT experience. •            4 years hands on experience with performance testing tools eg., Jmeter, Loadrunner, NeoLoad, Locust etc.,. •            Proficiency creating performance tests for single/multipage web applications, eCommerce, Webservices and multi-tier web applications. •            Experience applying Testing Skills: Test plan and test case formulation, report creation, defect tracking, business requirement gathering. •            Demonstrated knowledge and experience using various Testing Methodologies. •            Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the various Microsoft Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
