Description
The Senior Network Engineer designs, analyzes, plans and modifies network components supporting customer communication implementation activities. The Senior Network Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Network Engineer develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods. Prepares the analysis of the short-term or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies. Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities. Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 5-10 years experience in supporting complex High Availability Data Center Networks, Hybrid and Multi cloud Networks
Advanced knowledge of and experience with networking and network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, DNS, DDNS, DHCP, Load Balancing, VXLAN, VPNs, IP routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, LISP, IP Multicast and MPLS,
Experience with Policy Based Routing, Quality of Service, NetFlow, Wireless, virtual networks, Digital Network Support ACI, NAT, ACL controls, IPv4 and IPv6
CCNP Data Center\Routing and Switching
Ability lead and drive incident based calls.
Support Cloud Networking Azure , AWS, and GCP
Support of Software Defined Network
Experience with SDN, SD-WAN, SD-LAN products and services and working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities
Experience in troubleshooting Multi-Cloud and Hybrid Cloud Networks
Monitor network performance and integrity
Resolve issues tiers of support that have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Communicate with users when needed
Maintain complete technical documentation
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability

Additional Information
Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work.
