Description
The Senior Product Manager Conceives of, develops, delivers, and manages products for customer use. The Senior Product Manager work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Product Manager Leads all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace, by developing products to meet specific customer needs and achieve specific cost and success outcomes. Once products are launched, monitors efficacy of products and uses customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation, adjusting products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, andwork is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Summary:
The Enterprise Clinical Operating Model (ECOM), is Humana's next generation of customized, integrated and coordinated care management services that builds on Humana's previous care management models. It supports the company's efforts to deliver integrated care for Medicare Advantage members, helping them improve their physical, social and behavioral health while aging in place. As a Technical Product Manager within the AI Integration Home and ECOM team, you will bring to life our ECOM data science solutions and products.
Successful candidates will model and influence others to adopt Lean-Agile principles and MLOps/DevOps practices such as systems thinking, built-in quality and continuous learning culture and lead a team of engineers through product testing, deployment, integration and releases for downstream consumption. You will build strong collaborative relationships with multiple cross-functional teams within our organization to deliver solutions, design new integrations and gather requirements for features to be implemented within Humana's Azure cloud environment. Your knowledge and practice of Agile principles drives improved team performance and faster incremental value delivery delighting our customers and enabling the Humana Care Support experience.
Essential Duties:
Manage testing and deployments of data science products and solutions
Ensure quality of data science products by implementing best practices for model testing and operations
Recognize and embrace the unknown - form hypotheses regarding the impact of change to the product, refine requirements and define an phased development approach to validate assumptions
Provide deep subject matter expertise on MLOps/DevOps best principles to continuously improve delivery workflow
Coordination with Solution Architects and Product Managers to plan and execute on migration of features and capabilities to Azure cloud platforms.
Collaborate effectively with internal platform teams providing transparency of priorities, dependencies and risks
Possess a deep understanding of the end-to-end data flow and technology stack and impacts on final product
Manage and prioritize backlog providing clearly defines user stories and acceptance criteria for product acceptance
Develop Product Integration and Release roadmaps based on customer needs, platform capabilities and data science development
Qualifications:
Comfortable working in fast paced and rapidly changing environment
Highly motivated, self-starting and hardworking; able to work independently, multi-task and manage priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills across a variety of audiences, both technical and nontechnical
Proven experience improving team performance
Ability to understand and explain highly technical content
Strong organization skills with understanding on how to prioritize and communicate changes to dependency teams and stakeholders
Effective in coaching others in the areas of critical thinking and decision-making
Demonstrates the ability to lead a data-driven approach to analysis and performance measurement
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related fields. Masters preferred
Experience working with agile/scrum methodology
Experience in Healthcare organization preferred
Technical leadership experience
Practical knowledge of deploying production-grade models on Azure cloud platform
Computer/Technology Skills:
Experience in Azure cloud computing
Experience in Big Data environments (specifically PySpark and Databricks)
Experience in MLOps/DevOps culture
Experience leveraging agile development tools for backlog and team management (i.e. JIRA, Azure DevOps)
