The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining spare parts lists for all company-supplied equipment and process systems, through all stages of the operation to achieve strategic and tactical reliability goals.
Additionally, the candidate is to develop all recommended maintenance strategies as applicable to the scope of work to products and systems to be delivered.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Definition of spare part strategy by type of equipment
Analyzer spare parts lists from sub-suppliers determining real needs
Creation of spare parts lists for startup, commissioning, two-year operation, and overhaul
Create part numbers for spare parts lists with all attributes and load them up in Maximo
Identify spare parts interchangeability charts
Develop standard maintenance programs to be incorporated into operating manuals for customers
Identify potential for cost reduction through improvement of equipment reliability, extended parts life, reduced labor cost, and other reliability-related improvement techniques.
Review all equipment failure reports and history and adjust spare parts lists and maintenance frequencies accordingly
Provide required support to sales and supply chain on spare parts order leads
Assist in Identifying and resolving recurrent failures
Support root cause analysis program for major failures
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering\
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Knowledge of SAP, Maximo, C4C, SWPS
O&G equipment knowledge
Previous experience in facilities operations required
Good written and verbal communication
Strategic decision making
Adaptable and flexible to change
