WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor’s degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training

At least 5 years’ experience in Information Technology, particularly in an SAP Basis Administration role

A minimum of 4 full lifecycle implementations in SAP technology

Experience in Suite of SAP Systems like SAP ERP, BW, SCM/APO, BOBI, PI/PO, S/4HANA, CAR, GRC, BOBJ, Data Services, Fiori, and SAP Solution Manager

Database Administration experience with HANA DB

Exposure to SAP Cloud Platform/Business Technology Platform and configuring various services

Great teammate with proven experience collaborating with other server, network, storage engineers, and administrators

Superb communication skills; feels comfortable working with non-technical business partners

Desired experience, but not required:

Experience with migrating/building SAP applications in AWS or Azure Cloud would be helpful

Experience with Splunk, New Relic, AMS, and/or HANA cockpit is a bonus

Experience with DI, Data Custodian is desired

Oracle DB experience is a plus

As our Senior SAP Basis Engineer, you will be responsible for working with business and IT partners to use SAP platforms as strategic asset within Technology. You will work as a liaison between our business, capability partners and the agile product teams to understand business problems and help find appropriate solutions, documents requirements, communicate effectively with all levels of management, and deliver projects on time. You will also be working with a team to bring broad experience in the standard methodologies for SAP platforms and to define and refine in developing the roadmap for the SAP platforms.

We are seeking dynamic, collaborative individuals with the ability to work across multiple functions to influence standard methodologies and management at Nike.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working with Engineering teams and across multiple collaborator groups to translate business strategies, initiatives, goals, and objectives into information management proposals for SAP.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Manage, build, configure, monitor, and tune SAP technical environment across Suite of SAP Systems like SAP ERP, BW, SCM/APO, BOBI, PI/PO, S/4HANA, HANA DB, CAR, GRC, BOBJ, Data Services, Fiori, DI, and SAP Solution Manager

Experience with SAP BTP Cloud and Integration, SaaS tools

independently plan and complete SAP Support / Upgrade projects, as needed

Research and implement solutions within Basis functionality in areas of performance monitoring, tuning, systems configurations, design, and implementation

Design, build, and support new and existing interfaces to SAP

Perform application and database refreshes of SAP development and test systems

Manage the design and implementation of Change Management (CHARM)

SAP deployments and management in cloud (AWS / Azure)

Understanding of Suse Cluster to be able to support the cluster and high availability implementation

Disaster Recovery and application and platform resiliency options

Manage small teams that successfully complete large initiatives in addition to smaller ongoing support projects

Vendor Relationship - build strong relationships with a variety of third-party providers to deliver the tools and skills needed to fulfill the platform strategy

Work closely with product teams and DevOps / Engineering teams to solve sophisticated problems

You will work with a team of engineers that serve all of Nike Global Technology. You will be expected to be comfortable interacting with other engineers and product managers from all facets of technology development at Nike.

This is a dynamic team, solving problems daily in technology areas related to SAP applications, cloud infrastructure, automation and application testing, and continuous deployment across Nike Engineering teams.
