Seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to build and deliver an innovative, game-changing software factory platform that developers love to use.

Work you'll do:

Configure and maintain Kubernetes clusters with deep, demonstrable knowledge of kubectl and kops

Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for deploying multiple large-scale Kubernetes based environment

Analyze the technology options/feasibility and define the build, delivery, and deployment pipeline for applications

Design and implement tools, plan for future updates, help maintain and update our team infrastructure

Configure Kubernetes logging, monitoring, alerting systems

Implement security controls to ensure code complies with security and compliance frameworks

Work closely with engineers, QA, project managers throughout the software lifecycle

Required Skills:

3 years of experience maintaining large clusters using configuration tools such as: Python, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes

1 year of experience in architecture, configuration, delivery and operational services in at least one Kubernetes-based environment (e.g. AKS, EKS, GKE, PKS, Openshift, Rancher)

Experience with code scanners and infrastructure monitoring (e.g. Splunk or ELK)

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. CloudFormation or Terraform)

Proficiency in multiple programming languages (such as Python and GO). A coding challenge will be administered.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field from an Accredited College or University

Candidates local to the Austin, TX Area

Expertise in container-based environments (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

Demonstrates excellent oral and written, communication, and customer service skills

Demonstrates an extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and the ability to work well with remote team members

AWS/Azure Professional Certifications

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) / Developer (CKD) / Security (CKS)

vSphere with Tanzu 2021 specialist badge holder

Familiarity with IL5 and IL6 deployment and security processes
