Description:

The Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and managing a large scale production environment for software development and conduct network administration and integration. This position will assist with managing every aspect of the production network environment, including datacenter, Cloud, and hardware components.

Specific job duties include:

Maintain all production Infrastructure Network Systems, including Routers, Switches, and Servers.

Configure and troubleshoot Router hardware and software, using protocols like BGP, RIP, and OSPF.

Maintain network security with management of Firewalls and protocols like BPDU guard, Root guard, and DHCP snooping.

Manage company's multi-homed BGP connections with Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

Use scripting tools like Python, Ansible, and Bash to automate daily tasks.

Manage and maintain different types of servers, including Linux and Windows.

Install and manage Remote Access VPN for users on Cisco ASA.

Education / Experience Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a closely related field; and three (3) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in the same or similar occupation.

Alternate Education / Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a closely related field; and 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in the same or similar occupation.

Special Requirements:

Cisco Network Certification.

Three (3) years of work experience with:

Maintaining Infrastructure Network, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN devices, servers, monitoring systems, and private cloud system.

Manage multiple clusters of Firewalls using Checkpoint software.

Manage VMware Infrastructure using vSphere 5.5.

Use scripting and automation tools such as Bash, Python and Ansible to automate repetitive tasks.

Install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Router HW/SW using networking protocols such as BGP.

Implement network security mechanisms protocols such as BPDU Guard and Source Guard.

Travel requirements:

Travel to Las Vegas, Nevada 1x/year to data center facility; 5% or less per year
