Job Summary

Responsible for protecting Comcast from real world threats including nation states, financially motivated criminals, and activists. Position leads teams focused on vulnerability remediation including the planning of responses to findings, coordination of remediation activity across Comcast product and service teams and analysis of related data. As a senior manager this position leads several teams and supervises both individual contributors and managers.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Reviews and reports risk assessments to identify threats to security of information, systems, and computing assets throughout the Company.

Receives and review threat intelligence to understand and communicate the real world risk related to specific assessment findings.

Sets standards and guides teams in assigning risk / prioritization scores which influence remediation timelines for specific issues.

Directs the development and implementation of ticketing and automation systems the assist in scaling resources to accomplish assigned responsibilities.

Communicates tactical and strategic plans to the Information Systems team. Implements policies and procedures related to data security.

Oversees daily activities of a high volume function providing remediation engineering support across Comcast.

Drive investigation into reporting on metrics, KPIs and SLAs to deeply understand the results presented 

Identify and implement innovate process changes that increase the effectiveness of vulnerability management functions.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Required Skills/Experience 

The ideal candidate will be a security technology leader in a trusted position of oversight. This person will have a passion for leading/influencing teams, improving processes and identifying/executing new secure engineering practices that drive product security innovation. 

A proven track record delivering on a transformation and implementation of a secure engineering best practices throughout the product development process. 

This executive will have a demonstrated track record in all aspects of security disciplines, demonstrated success with mitigating risks and security threats with solutions that are cost effective, compliant, flexible, and as transparent as possible. 

The ability to empower, collaborate, motivate trust and confidence for his/her security change management program to win the confidence of key stakeholders in a matrixed environment. 

Deep subject matter expertise in the areas of vulnerability management, info security, threat modeling, secure development life cycle, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), secure engineering practices, and related emerging best practices. 

Qualifications 

7 years of security engineering experience such as: secure product engineering, software security product development, and/or software/hardware product security with 4 years of leadership experience. 

Proven ability to communicate with technology and business leaders. 

Bachelor's degree in related field, master's preferred

Exceptional oral and written communication skills. 

Advanced security certifications (CISSP, CSSLP, OSWE, CASS, GPEN, CEH or CISM) are appreciated.
