Job Summary
The VP of Engineering, DataBee is the senior technical leader for the DataBee product. DataBee is a security data fabric that organizes security data into a single trusted source, enriched with business context, to allow security teams to make smart decisions fast. This leader will build a high-performing, agile engineering organization that embraces a start-up culture. The engineering teams will mostly be located in the United States and in India.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Lead the development of our Security Data Fabric, working closely with the CTS Cybersecurity Business Unit to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and implement the technical strategy for the Security Data Fabric, including selecting and implementing appropriate technologies and tools.
Build and manage a distributed team of on-shore and off-shore engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the organization's success.
Develop and maintain processes and best practices for software development, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality, scalable, secure, cost-effective, and maintainable code.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including product management, sales, and customer success, to ensure that the Security Data Fabric meets customer needs and drives business value.
Manage the Security Data Fabric engineering roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in security data analytics and make recommendations for their adoption as appropriate.
Communicate technical concepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders, including executives and customers.
Develop and maintain relationships with cloud and data lake partners, exploring opportunities for integrations and optimization.
This role sits within the Technology, Product, and eXperience (TPX) unit of Comcast - the home for thousands of engineers building products and services which connect millions of people to the moments that matter.The role will report to the VP and GM, CTS Cybersecurity Business Unit. The ideal candidate will focus not just on building awesome products, but on building an open and transparent culture that thrives on feedback.Success criteria for this role includes meeting revenue and customer satisfaction targets of the business.
Professional Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
15 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on commercial product development building and operating SaaS security products for large enterprises.
At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, managing large, distributed teams of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong expertise in security data analytics, including experience with SIEM, EDR, and other security data sources.
Experience building an agile development culture focused on sound engineering practices, collaboration, speed to market, and fast feedback loops. Experience with DevSecOps processes is preferred.
Experience, knowledge, and/or familiarity with the following. Please note that we do not expect the ideal candidate to have experience with all these technologies - but be familiar with these subjects to the degree required to lead expert teams.
All activities of the development life-cycle - architecture, design, implementation, testing, quality assurance, operations, and support.
Big-data systems, including all components of a data platform. Examples include Data Storage technologies, DevOps technologies, Data Lakes/Warehouses, Cloud Data Table, Cloud Data Management, Data Processing/Transformations, Observability / Monitoring, analytics, visualization, and data marts.
History with both startups and mid or large size engineering organizations.
Multi-cloud, hybrid cloud experience.
Leading AI/ML and data science teams.
Compliance and regulatory requirements.

Salary:
Pay Range: $287,317.50 - $430,976.25
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
