Aon is looking for a Director Cyber Security EngineeringThe Global Cybersecurity team is seeking to find a high-energy, motivated individual for the role of Director, Head of Network Security team.In this role you will lead a global team of impactful individuals passionate about engineering and transforming Aon’s Network Security. As the Director of Engineering you will be a major part of securing our global network infrastructure operated in many countries.You will lead the Engineering team which is responsible for various network security technologies like firewalls, proxies, load balancers, DDoS etc. The right leader will bring a mix of deep technical credentials and leadership skills passionate about team development, delivery, execution and building the future of Network Security at Aon.This role can be located in Chicago, New jersey, or Virtual Chicago, New jersey regions.Job DescriptionEffectively manage globally distributed team of cybersecurity engineers. This will require managing a team in multiple differing time zones.Ensure delivery of multiple concurrent projects covering multiple security technologies focusing on network security. This includes but is not limited to firewalls, proxies, IPS/IDS, load balancers, DLP, CASB etc.Maintain capability roadmaps and deliver to themManage vendor relationships pertaining to tools in this areaEnsure team maintains abilities for both existing and planned technologiesIdentify and action opportunities for continuous improvement in both risk management, expense management, tech portfolio, operational processes and end user experienceEnsure target state for related technologies are detailed, maintained and socializedSupport both internal Security projects and project delivery from other areas of the businessLead and maintain technology portfolio for this area. This includes maintaining currency of platforms, budgeting for maintenance/refreshes, capacity planning, etc.Liaise with other groups across the enterpriseIntegrate security controls into the SDLC process / pipelineIdentify trends in network security, Incident response and security regulatory requirements for the required changes in the programDevelop and handle metrics and reporting on the efficiency of the program which includes reports to LeadershipJob Requirements10 years’ experience in network engineering in a large enterprise.Experience managing diverse team of information security professionals in large global enterprise.Hands-on experience working with multiple network security tools including firewalls, load balancers, proxies. Packet brokers etc.Excellent knowledge of current network security state and strategize future roadmap and priorities.Experience collaborating closely with both IT and non-IT resources to represent Information SecurityExperience with threat mapping including addressing insider threatsExperience with security exception review processesExperience with firewall engineering and operationsExperience with proxy engineering and browser technologiesExperience with packet brokers, network monitoring and other security tools is a plusExperience with data center and network automation technologies.Should have prior experience of working with different threat protection solutions (Fireeye, TrendMicro).Understanding of the Cloud Security concepts is a must.
