The Field Service Quality Engineer is the link between field locations and the Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) sustaining function, monitoring product performance, and working to improve the quality and service delivery of tools. The Field Service Quality Engineer reports on service quality (SQ) to the TLM sustaining team and plays a key role in identifying the overall sustaining strategy through thorough analysis and reporting of the failure modes of tools.
Responsibilities:
Advise the field on best practices linked to the maintenance and operation of tools.
Suggest technology, operational and technique improvements based on feedback gathered from field personnel and on detailed root cause analysis, including improvements related to information materials, training, design changes, etc.
Analyze SQ events and report to stakeholders
Support timely closure of failure reports
Advise the field on individual and generic failure analysis processes.
Run monthly failure analysis reports with root cause analysis.
Perform audits of field bases on operation and maintenance procedures.
Serve as lead contact on high-visibility failure analyses.
Collate best practices and feedback on operations.
Disseminate best practices and lessons learned to the field locations
Coordinate analysis of defective parts sent back from the field to the product center.
Support filed operations & maintenance
In case of systematic problems detected in the field related to design, usage or manufacturing, organize an investigation with all of the parties to identify root causes, create action items, and ensure implementation.
Assist in defining the product improvement strategy and prioritizing the workload.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Drill Stem Testing (DST) Operations or Maintenance
Extensive knowledge of DST Bottom Hole Assemblies (BHAs) including various types of Testing Valves and Packers
Experience reading CAD drawings and hydraulic schematics
Advanced mechanical proficiency to assemble or disassemble DST tools
Experience conducting failure investigations and root-cause analysis
Experience preparing and presenting technical presentations to clients
Experience analysing DST operations, service quality and maintenance data
Ability to travel to field locations globally to conduct failure investigations, provide operations or maintenance support
Excellent communication skills
