We are seeking

results-oriented and experienced

Mechanical Product Engineer in the Global Commodity Engineering Team. Mechanical PE who is specialized in tooling and assembly process to lead product launch, environmentally friendly initiatives, push our product quality and manufacturing capability to the next level of excellence. You will have the opportunity to lead/collaborate with highly talented Design Engineers, Commodity Managers, Product Managers, Technical Operations and Customer Engagement Teams to deliver high performance all-flash cloud storage solutions.

Responsibilities includes:

Support new product developments and drive design for manufacturing excellence.

Provide technical inputs / decisions for vendor selection and qualification.

Provide technical inputs to form the strategic plan for high volume tooling decision.

Lead DFx activities for direct and indirect mechanical components.

Lead the technical team for component manufacturing processes decisions.

Lead cross-functional manufacturing readiness reviews prior to product release.

Create system level BOM structure in PDM tool, experiences in Agile preferred.

Develop manufacturing process and best practice documentation.

Representing Quality Operations in xCO decision making.

Collaborate with customers facing team to define packaging requirements and interfacing with packaging vendors to design, evaluate, quality and transition into production.

Lead the packaging vendors thru design and qualification process to produce cost effective solutions.

Lead failure analysis on complex system level issues and deliver corrective actions.

Be the technical consultant to Contract Manufacturer on failure analysis.

Lead the continuous manufacturing / operations efficiency improvement activities.

What you will bring to this role:

5 years experiences as Mechanical Design, Supplier Quality and/or Manufacturing Engineering in fast paced environment, Data Storage Industry preferred.

Experienced with CAD and PDM systems, Creo and Agile preferred.

Knowledge of packaging standards, ISTA 3A and ASTM D7386-16, and shock and vibe testing experiences preferred.

New Product Introduction experiences, scaling from prototyping, pilot builds to high volume manufacturing. Contract Manufacturing experiences is a plus.

Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to adapt, communicate and lead the team in a dynamic environment.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
