The Chemical Engineer
is responsible for providing innovative solutions requiring the development of new or improved techniques, procedures, or products. The Chemical Engineer assists in planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meeting the project objectives in a timely fashion.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, develop, maintain products, and assist in their commercialization - in agreement with project technical and timing objectives. Successfully undertake technical projects.
Build prototypes, products, and systems suitable for testing. Set up and run lab simulations.
Plans for experimental assessment using systematic techniques such as Design of Experiments.
Analyzes and interprets experiments outputs, using competencies of chemistry and statistical analysis.
May assign, direct and review work of technicians.
Continually evaluate risks to produce and iterate the development plans
Make presentations effective to technical and management audiences.
Author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations.
Identify and keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets. Learn new skills and adopt new practices readily in order to develop innovative solutions
Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science, further education is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience as a chemical engineer.
Knowledge of general chemistry, analytical chemistry, materials chemistry.
Previous experience designing and conducting lab experiments is required.
Previous experience with ion exchange materials (theory and lab testing) and process modeling a plus
Previous experience and research acumen for patent writing and application is a plus.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Candidates must be able to work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
