Job Summary
Responsible for providing subject matter expertise on the design and implementation of complex data network and voice solutions for Comcast Business class customers across a national footprint. Works as a collaborative member of the sales team to market and Comcast Business solutions portfolio. Provides insight to customers on current network solutions and builds strong, long-term relationships. Works closely with account executives on presentations and the technical design of new sales. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. Leads functional project teams and shares expertise. Role will be virtual with up to 30% national travel.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Develop solutions leveraging Comcast Business Managed Network Services portfolio including Managed Broadband, Managed Router, Managed WiFi, Managed Security, Unified Communications and Metro Ethernet products.
Assist the Account Management Team and Sales leadership in the development of the overall business strategy to acquire new customers. Contributes to costing and pricing of a solution.
Assist in generating new business and ensure growth of existing National and Strategic accounts.
Design solutions for the customer that meets their business applications, as well as assures protected circuit design, disaster recovery situations, and appropriate bandwidth for future growth.
Translate complex technical design requirements into information that customers can understand and respond to.
Serve as a national technical expert to review RFP responses for content and accuracy before they are submitted.
Provide technical support for National events and technical trade shows.
Participate in technology transfer training activities in the Sales Engineering group as new technologies are introduced across the Comcast Business product line.
Develop, deliver and run effective presentations, meetings, client interviews and facilitate a group workshop.
Work with Comcast Business Network Engineering, Product Engineering, Product and the national engineering organization to acquire an intimate knowledge of all Comcast Business products concepts, process and procedures.
Stay current on technological and market evolution as well as industry and competitor activities.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Preferred Experience:
5 years in technical sales engineering/support role in the telecommunications industry (Ideally with Enterprise and National Accounts, Wireless/Cellular Carriers and MSOs a plus), including minimum of 3 years in position working directly with customers or with the indirect channel.
Adept at developing and delivering technical presentations and training programs.

Networking Protocols (OSI Model Layers 1-7)
CPE (voice & data) (switches, routers, PRI, MTA)
Voice Network Technologies (including VoIP, Trunks and Managed PBX)
Data Networking Technologies, Functionality & Services (SDN, SD-WAN, Security/UTM, Ethernet, VPN, MPLS, IPv4 (IPv6 is a plus)
Security (UTM/EDR)
Cable or HFC delivery systems is a plus
Excellent project management and deadline meeting skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple and understandable terms to a layperson.
Results driven with a focus on goal achievement.
Experienced in creating technical designs and diagrams of a customer solution.
Ability to work within a team, handle ambiguity, and anticipate and react to changes quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter/self-driven, with the ability to work independently/remotely, disconnected from other team members.
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint (MS Visio and MS Project are a plus).
B.S. Degree in related field; technology or engineering preferred (or equivalent experience).
CCDA/CCNA desired (or equivalent experience).
