SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE. YOU’LL BE EXPECTED TO…

Design and implement creative new algorithms and technologies for high-performance, highly reliable systems (think six nines)

Own and deliver innovation end-to-end, from concept to shipped product

Analyze and solve challenging problems through persistence and insight

Work as part of a team of intelligent peers who inspire you and who are inspired by you

Develop, maintain, and improve creative new systems and diagnostic tools

Make smart, educated decisions where automation can improve overall product support efficiencies

Maintain effective documentation on existing and future tool sets

Thoroughly test tool sets before release to ensure tool accuracy and efficiency

Learn a ton, whether you know a lot or nothing about products and software systems

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

Highly proficient in Python; experience with Javascript will also be helpful

Excellent knowledge of object oriented programming, test driven development, and software development life cycle

Practical hands-on experience with the following:

Designing performant and efficient programs for processing large, unstructured data-sets

Process automation and/or machine learning

Cloud infrastructures like AWS

Writing automated tests with Pytest, Unittest, Tox, and/or similar infrastructures.

DevOps and Pipeline tools such as Docker and Jenkins

Designing, implementing, and using efficient ReST APIs

SQL-based relational databases: Postgres, AWS RDS, MySQL, Python Modules (sqlalchemy, databases, etc.)

Web server management: Apache, Nginx, Tornado, WSGI (gunicorn)

Desire to share knowledge and experience mentoring junior teammates

Experienced problem solver; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Willing to work in an Agile development environment

Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.

Ability to simultaneously work on multiple engagements and priorities

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

Ability to maintain sight on scope and depth of project initiatives throughout the development life cycle in order to meet project objectives and timelines.

Comfortable working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
