Elliott Aviation, a leader in aircraft solutions, has an exciting opportunity for a Summer Aviation Engineering Intern
at their corporate headquarters in Moline, IL. This is an opportunity for college students with an interest in engineering. Interns can apply educational experience while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
This position is a 10-week internship that will start on or around June 5th and continue through August 18th. It is a full-time paid internship. Start and end dates are flexible to your school schedule. Housing may also be available.
The Engineering Intern will assist in supporting operations, providing technical support, and assisting in various engineering projects.
Responsibilities of this Position Include:
Assist in providing technical support to all Elliott Aviation departments and customers
Ensure that all documentation relating to assigned projects has been completed properly
Assist in research & development, developing new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products
Assist in structural repair, antenna installation, equipment mounting, and instrument panel replacement design
Assist in structural design for replacement, new cabinets, and other interior aircraft work
Assist in avionics wiring diagrams and wire marking
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment
Support, maintain, and comply with all applicable company, federal, OSHA, state, and local regulations, policies, and processes
Assist in additional projects as assigned
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary engineering education program, preferably in a aerospace, aerodynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion, or other aviation-related discipline
Knowledge of creating, reading, and understanding blueprints and wiring diagrams preferred
Understanding of FAA requirements and regulations regarding aircraft modifications preferred
Exceptional written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Ability to work full-time for 10 weeks from June through August 2023
