Our team works closely with our data science and software teams to deliver industry leading intellectual property insights and analytical tools. You will work as a data engineer to help understand, deliver, and maintain data to provide business value to our clients.Our ideal candidate balances domain expertise, initiative, accuracy, self-motivation, organization, and articulate & detailed communications. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.  Job Responsibilities: Design, build, document and maintain scalable data pipelines for large-scale data processing.Optimize and improve the performance of data pipelines and data storage systems.Work with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide solutions.Ensure data quality and integrity through the implementation of data validation and testing processes.Collaborate with software engineers and other stakeholders to integrate data systems with other systems and platforms.Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in the data engineering field.Mentor and train junior engineers.Follow Aon’s cloud infrastructure and security guidelines working with other teams when required. Required Experience and Characteristics: 4 years of Professional Software or Data Engineering experience.Experience with data warehousing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load).Proficient programming skills in SQL and Python.Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions such as AWS, GCP and or Azure.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Desire to bring your background and experience to the team and learn from othersPassion for data and data integrityBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Preferred Experience:Experience with PythonExperience developing in a cloud-native environment such as AWS and/or AzureKnowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools and methodologiesExperience with container-based systems such as DockerExperience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Cloud Formation How we support our colleagues  In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
