New Age Digital, based in Richmond, has a full time opportunity available for a Senior Network Engineer.

Applicant must have a professional appearance and attitude, excellent communication skills, reliable transportation, and the ability to multitask and prioritize service calls. Extensive knowledge of Windows desktop OS and LANs is required. Experience with Microsoft Small Business Server, Exchange Server, and Terminal Server or Citrix is strongly recommended. Starting salary range 40K or commensurate with experience. Applicant will be tested to determine knowledge and experience level.

Required skills:

3 years of experience with network integration, design, migration, and security

3 years of experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network servers, switches, routers, and cabling

3 years of experience installing, configuring, and administration of Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003

Experience with HP and Dell server hardware configuration and RAID configuration

Experience with configuring and implementing a data backup, retention, and recovery plan

Experience with administration and troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange and Outlook email client

Ability to quickly isolate and resolve end user computer-related problems

Ability to resolve problems via telephone and/or remote access

Ability to assess client needs and business processes and then research, quote, and implement cost effective solutions to resolve those needs or improve processes

Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to interact directly and effectively with clients of all levels within a fast-paced environment

Ability to work with team members on projects large and small to provide the fastest and most cost effective solutions for our clients

Desirable skills:

Experience with Windows Small Business Server 2003 platform

DNS configuration and record maintenance on a site and ISP level

Windows Terminal Server or Citrix Presentation Server configuration and administration

Cisco IOS and PIX configuration and troubleshooting

Experience with Windows IIS web and ftp hosting

Linux administration and knowledge of open source application installation

Microsoft CRM, Intuit QuickBooks, Microsoft Great Plains, Norton Ghost, Acronis TrueImage

Experience with Novell Netware 6 and 6.5 Small Business platform and GroupWise
