Job Summary
Responsible for contributing in one or more areas of expertise in collaboration with various cross-functional project teams. Exercises in-depth knowledge of engineering skills and methodology. Applies long-term objectives and plans related to the company's technical vision to daily activity. Applies innovative solutions for engineering developmental problems that are competitive with industry and company standards with little direction. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Job Description
What you will do
Review and curate vulnerabilities in Comcast products and services
Provide guidance to Comcast product and service teams to enable remediation
Validate remediation efforts from internal customers
Automate Tasks to achieve efficiency
What you should possess; basic understanding and experience with:
Vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
Web application security assessment including hands on techniques for identifying SQL injections, XSS, CSRF, authentication/authorization issues
Scripting with capability to automate analysis of technical engineering tasks
Strong customer focus with the ability to advise and work closely with software developers, application teams and vendors on mitigation.
Exposure to both commercial and open source tools such as Burpsuite, Metasploit, WebInspect, Nessus, Qualys, Nexpose, and nmap.
Experience with Linux and a dynamic programming language such as Ruby and/or Python
What success looks like
Able to act a team lead assisting other remediation engineers to solve hard problems with efficient solutions
Prompt, effective curation of security vulnerabilities
Responsiveness to internal customer's requests
Validation of remediated tickets within published service level agreements (SLAs)
Automation has reduced the manual workload related to vulnerability management across Comcast.

What we require:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience with information security.
