Best Buy Co. has an opening in Richfield, Minnesota for the position of Web Engineer. Facilitate zero downtime deployments for 300 BestBuy.com web applications on various platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), datacenter and openshift. Evaluate current state of Deployment Pipeline and drive change across the organization to propel a fully automated deployment pipeline. Analyze, design, and implement Automation Canary test frameworks for web-based and server applications. Architect and automate analytics tools and deployments using scripting languages and automation tools. Deliver automated test suites for user interfaces with varied tools, including Selenium and REST APIs. Update deployment configurations for applications to ensure standards are followed. Manage uptime of Quality Assurance and Stage environments, including the associated applications. Provide leadership and expertise in development of new projects. Independently manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously. Manage timely resolution of critical and/or complex problems with the different platforms in multiple environments. Communicate with project management, business stakeholders and operations. Maintain and enhance Deployment Monitoring System using technologies like HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular4, AJAX, JSON, Node.js. There are multiple openings for this position.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or Electronic Engineering, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor's degree experience in the ecommerce domain for large-scale consumer retail, delivering automated test suites for user interfaces, and writing and executing code and manual test scripts, using REST, SOAP, Maven or Gradle, and Selenium or Jenkins. Two years of this experience must have also included using Java or Groovy, JavaScript, AWS or OpenShift, and GIT. At least six months of this experience must have also included developing web applications and using Data Center. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or Electronic Engineering, plus three (3) years of experience as described above; two years of this experience must have also included using Java or Groovy, JavaScript, AWS or OpenShift, and GIT. At least six months of this experience must also have included developing web applications and using Data Center.
