Humana Digital Health and Analytics (DH&A) drives innovation to create data-driven platforms, products and services for use across the entire organization. The Enterprise Data Platform Analytics (EDPA) team in DH&A is a key part responsible for enabling and empowering data scientists and business analysts with innovative software solutions and technologies on Azure.

The Lead Full Stack Software Engineer in EDPA will work with the architects, product owners, and fellow engineers to lead the design, development, and deployment of software architectural components and solutions for system-to-system integrations, and cloud infrastructure provisioning automation, data integration pipelines, data modeling with high security, performance, and low total cost of ownership.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Lead, design, and develop API based system-to-system integrations with Humana Data as Service Platform, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Humana Identity and Access Management

Support cloud infrastructure lifecycle management automation leveraging Infrastructure as Code principles and framework on Azure

Own software code repositories, lead product technical design sessions, code review and accept pull requests

Collaborate with QA on functional, performance, and security testing

Troubleshoot and resolve critical customer escalations on technical, stability, and performance issues

Collaborate and Influence peer architects with knowledge sharing sessions.

Training and mentoring engineers

Required Experience Skills

and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or above in computer science or equivalent.

8-10 years of enterprise SaaS/IaaS/PaaS software development experience

5 years of Webservices/Microservices API development using Java plus Spring Boot, and/or Python

3 years of database development experience with any one of SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, RedShift, or MongoDB

3 years of Azure or AWS or GCP cloud services platforms

Experience with building stream-processing systems with any one of Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Pulsar, or Flink

Security -- Hands-on experience with user authentication and authorization with SSO, SAML, and OAuth. In depth knowledge of data encryption and encryption key management protocols

DevOps -- hands-on experience with modern CICD automation eco-systems such as Azure DevOps and pipelines, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, AWS Cloud Formation, Kubernetes, GitHub, and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible

Desirable Experience Skills and Qualification

Experience and knowledge with big data processing and big data querying using Apache SPARK, SPARK SQL

Experience with web applications development with MEAN or MERN stack

Experience health care business and industry

Knowledge of various ETL techniques and data warehouse data modelling

Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Jasper

Job Location and Work Style

The preferred locations for this role include Campbell, CA; San Diego, CA; Boston, MA; or Dallas, TX with a hybrid work style. A remote work style from other locations within the continental US is also an option.
