Description
Humana is seeking a talented and experienced Lead DevOps (ML Ops) Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable and reliable machine learning-driven applications using Kubernetes and other related technologies. You will work closely with our development, operations, and data science teams to ensure efficient and smooth application deployment, continuous integration and delivery, and infrastructure management.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes-based infrastructure on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for hosting machine learning-driven applications.
Collaborate with software development teams to build and deploy Python applications on the Kubernetes cluster.
Implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps to enable automated and efficient software releases.
Utilize Helm for managing Kubernetes applications, including packaging, versioning, and deployment.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
Monitor and ensure high availability and performance of the Kubernetes cluster, leveraging tools like Istio for service mesh and observability.
Implement and configure observability and monitoring tools, including ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK stack), for logging, metrics, and log analysis purposes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve performance, scalability, and security issues within the application stack.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in DevOps, Kubernetes, machine learning, and related technologies.
Provide documentation and knowledge sharing to enable efficient onboarding and support for other team members.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, specifically working with Kubernetes and CI/CD systems - AKS, Azure DevOps, and Helm are preferred.
Strong understanding of building and deploying Python applications in a production environment.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is highly desirable.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools for managing cloud-based infrastructure - Terraform is preferred.
Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
Experience in implementing and configuring observability and monitoring tools like ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Working knowledge of Istio and service mesh concepts for managing microservices.

Work at Home Guidance
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.

Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
