Work you’ll do

As a Vulnerability Management Engineer Analyst within our Cyber Risk team, you will:

• Work with Federal clients to mitigate cyber risk and threats

• Work with a team of Windows vulnerability management (VM) and compliance engineers

• Develop and document standard methodologies for vulnerability and compliance management solutions

• Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work

• Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues

• Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports

• Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products

• Assist in proposal development, as requested

• Perform trend and analysis of vulnerability scan data

• Demonstrate broad security experience, which must include vulnerabilities, risks, and security mechanisms that are common in today’s government systems

• Generate reports and metrics specific

• Develop SOPs, checklists, guides, best practices and procedures for conducting vulnerability assessments

• Develop and document standard methodologies for vulnerability and compliance management solutions

• Automate processes using scripts

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or related field

• Working knowledge of SCCM (Tanium a plus)

• Experience working in a Windows Environment

• Experience in a hands-on leadership role

• Knowledge of Powershell

• Understanding of DISA STIGs, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program and DOD Secure Host Baseline requirements

• Capable of performing trend and analysis of vulnerability scan data

• Experience with ITIL processes such as Incident/Problem/Configuration/Change management

• 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology/Vulnerability Management/Cybersecurity

• Understanding of a variety of operating system and software vulnerabilities

• Technical knowledge in the management and configuration of operating systems, networks, and software including knowledge of OS authentication mechanisms, permissions, and a solid understanding of networking

• Ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role

• Top Secret Clearance

Preferred:

• Previous Federal Consulting experience

• Understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts

• Experience with Information Assurance concepts and processes within the Federal government

• Knowledge of and experience with Federal security regulations, standards, and processes including FISMA, FIPS, NIST, and FedRAMP
