The Pure Storage Customer Solution Center (CSC) has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Systems Engineer. The CSC provides resources that showcase the Pure Storage product portfolio. We work closely with our account teams and SEs to provide resources that help accelerate sales cycles and enhance the customer’s experience with Pure Storage. These resources include: physical/virtual solutions labs, bootcamps, Hands-on Labs and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

Responsibilities:

Daily management and maintenance of lab infrastructure including:

LAN

SAN - Fiber Channel (FC), iSCSI and NVMe-oF

Storage - block, file and object

Compute

Public, private and hybrid cloud - VMware, AWS, Azure and GCP

Working with stakeholders to develop and deploy solutions labs

Deployment of POC environments as per defined requirements

Executing POCs, functional and performance focused, with customers (internal and external) as required

Requirements:

The person in this role should have a strong technical acumen that is both broad and deep with a focus on customer satisfaction and successful outcomes. They should detail oriented and possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the following areas:

Deployment and administration of Windows, VMware and Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, etc)

Deployment and management of LAN and SAN (FC, iSCSI and NVMe-oF)

Implementation of servers with FC, iSCSI and NVMe-oF storage connectivity

Implementation of storage using FC, iSCSI and NVMe-oF

The person in this role should also have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the following areas:

Management and deployment of resources in private, public and hybrid cloud

Devops and automation tools for infrastructure and application deployment

Familiarity with backup products - Veeam, Commvault & Cohesity

Installation and management of various databases such as MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres, Microsoft SQL and Oracle

The annual base salary range is: $136000-$204,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
