Job Description:
Operate, optimize, and care for the applications equipment in the Innovation Center
Provide support to Shell’s Technical Service Team with servicing our blow molding customers for polyethylene blow molding processing and blow molding equipment parameters to optimize their blow molding equipment
Conduct blow molding trials at Shell Polymers’ Innovation Center while working in a safe manner
Capable of troubleshooting the injection molding process in normal production and when evaluating various materials
Capability to utilize online tools for trial reporting and communication of results
Assist in creating blow molding processing guides & physical property data sheets for our polyethylene resins
Possess knowledge of blow molding polyethylene resins
Possess knowledge of test methods for polyethylene & blow-molded polyethylene parts
Possess knowledge of polyethylene for Extrusion Blow Molding applications
Develop & provide technical training on blow molding for our customers
Maintain a safe work environment by complying with all safety policies and procedures
Ability to travel, up to 25%

Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor’s Degree/Associate Degree in plastics engineering, polymer science, chemical engineering or similar; extensive industry experience also an acceptable alternative
Minimum of 3 years in plastics processing experience preferred
Tenacity for problem-solving particularly taking on projects which require troubleshooting customer issues
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
Understanding of statistical process control, and importance of part quality principles
Proven ability to interface with a broad spectrum of stakeholders including operations staff, commercial staff, and polyethylene customers
Excellent communication skills in verbal, technical writing & presenting
Proven ability to work in a diverse environment in an inclusive way
