Job Summary
Responsible for validating software solutions in various testing environments. Contributes to the development of test strategies and the design of quality assurance practices. Collaborates with other Engineers to identify, reproduce and document defects, bugs, or problems. Maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities. Utilizes clearly defined standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

We are looking for a top-tier Python QA Automation Engineer with experience using AWS and serverless technologies. Candidate must have a strong understanding of python standard processes, background in writing well structured automation code. Willing to work with programmatic tools for CI/CD deployment pipelines. Also, a willingness to do some manual QA testing and test case writing as needed.
The role will include reponsibility to write new automated QA test cases based on existing frameworks, adapt frameworks for new features and functionality, work with the development team to understand and write QA test case scenarios, and production support of released software.
Required Skills:
5-8 years programming experience
3 years Python experience (preferably used as the primary language in last job)
Has written QA test cases using Python Pytest framework
Solid understanding of the following:
AWS (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2, Kinesis, ELK)
GIT/Github
CI/CD (Concourse and Jenkins)
Docker
Preferred Skills:
Experience performing code review and responding positively to feedback
Experience with Pylint and Code coverage measures
Experience with Cucumber/Selenium or similar framework and BDD/TDD testing practices
Willing to take ownership of individual services and work to support and improve them in production
