Job Summary

Responsible for providing leadership and direction for the team by incorporating broad business and domain knowledge to address complex, unusual, and critical issues that are relevant to business needs. Oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of Data Science Models and ML engineering & operations. Guides teams to successfully deploy and operate predictive models and machine learning products and applications. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities into day-to-day operations. Proactively engages to solve business challenges and discover new products using data science & machine learning techniques. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. Provides mentoring and guidance to data scientists and engineers.

Job Description

Role Description:

The Data Science team builds end-to-end systems that democratize machine learning to meet the needs of the business by partnering with key internal and external stakeholders to enable data scientists to build and deploy machine learning solutions at scale.

Core Responsibilities

Develops and communicates goals, strategies, tactics, project plans, timelines, and key performance metrics to reach goals.

Leads the development of statistical and mathematical solutions to business problems. Frames problem, develops roadmap and communicates intended approach and quantitative methods to develop solution.

Develop a system that supports traditional ML models, time series forecasting, and deep learning

Leads the team on analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, extracting actionable insights using advanced statistical techniques such as data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, and machine learning techniques and statistics.

Build customer-centric models and optimization tools to support large-scale projects that utilize online & offline data, structured & unstructured data

Work closely with data warehouse architects and software developers to generate seamless data science solutions for deployment.

Guides the successful completion of high-profile, revenue-impacting programs that use machine learning as essential components. Determines the technical objectives of an assignment. Serves as a leader across multiple teams for machine learning technologies and areas of research, including the design of prototypes and partnering with the product team.

Leads teams in the design and development of specifications, technical requirements, algorithms, and frameworks of custom machine learning-based designs for future products and applications.

Acts as a subject matter expert in designing and prototyping high-complexity machine learning models. Leads innovation in technical capability delivery.

Proven skills in selecting the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem.

Preferred Education Level:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research or another quantitative field.

Experience:

10 years of relevant working experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree
