What is the Software Engineer II for ServiceNow responsible for?
The Software Engineer II will be responsible for defining and implementing technology solutions that meet our business objectives and deliver the associated objectives and key results on agreed upon schedules. This role will follow the Agile delivery processes defined by the ServiceNow team.

What does the Software Engineer II for ServiceNow do?
• Collaborate with the product team to help find solutions for their business objectives.
• Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems.
• Provide estimates for requested enhancements/stories.
• Develop on the ServiceNow platform via scripting/coding and system configurations.
• Provide coaching, work direction, and oversight to other engineering team resources.
• Participate in scheduled Stand-up meetings to provide updates.
• Generate detailed documentation (requirements, design, support, etc.)
• Provide support for defects or incidents related to release enhancements.
• Requires minimal direction and/or oversight.

We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and skill set:
Basic Qualifications:
• 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience deploying ServiceNow’s ITSM solutions.
• ServiceNow certified Administrator.
• Experience with configuration of Virtual Agent, Agent Intelligence.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in implementing Change Management.
• Additional ServiceNow development certification/experience. (e.g. Advanced System Administration, Certified Application Developer, Application Creation, etc.)
• Certified ITIL V3/V4 or willingness to obtain in 6 months.
• Experience in the following software development languages: XML, Java Script, HTML, Glide, AJAX and CSS.
• Experience with ServiceNow reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics.
• Experience with ServiceNow Employee Service Center Portal design.
• General knowledge of Information Protection strategies. (encryption, DR, etc.)
• Understanding of data management and concepts such as data normalization, record retention, and archiving.
