WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years of working experience in the IT industry in supporting large-scale applications/services on cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
3 years of experience using Splunk SPL
Experience in supporting highly available and scalable systems with the ability to debug/troubleshoot live systems
Adaptive and flexible to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities
Hands-on experience with Observability tools like Splunk, NewRelic, Azure Monitor, and/or CloudWatch
Splunk Admin Certification, preferred

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our goal within Resilience Engineering is to provide technical solutions to complex production problems. To accomplish this, we focus not only on reducing incident and problem toil; but also on speeding the detection and recovery of critical incidents through observability and continuous improvement via operational health measurement and sharing. For that, we are looking for a software engineer that has hands-on knowledge of Splunk SPL, Knowledge Objects, Administration, and Enablement. You will be part of a team that’s responsible for making the Application Logging platform available 24X7 to all Global Technology teams at Nike.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Observability Platform Engineers at Nike drive reliability throughout the Engineering Organizations through Observability, informed architectural improvements, and automation. This requires close collaboration with internal Engineering teams to build cohesive service operation solutions into the overall service design. In this role, you would have the opportunity and responsibility of building and enhancing the DevOps process, environment, and toolchains for high-service reliability and availability. Additionally, you get to exercise and optimize the service operation process to support the whole service with all partner teams. Lastly, you will mitigate and recover live site incidents efficiently.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role will report to the Director of Observability Platform Engineering, and they will be part of the Application Logging Platform team. They will partner with teams across the entire Global Technology organization, including Cyber Security, Site Reliability Engineering, and Operations.
