Assists with maintenance, problem resolution, analysis and mitigation of security exposures on multiple networking platforms and monitoring tools. Assists with research on internal projects, helping formulate solutions that address security issues or concerns. This includes projects related to Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) implementations. Helps analyze, document and report on internal investigations of possible security violations, then helps with implementation of mitigations. Helps maintain patch management processes and procedures to ensure security patches are applied to network devices. Assists in the execution of these processes and procedures continuously. Helps reviews system logs and messages to identify and report on possible violations of security policy or breaches of security defenses, then helps take actions to mitigate. Assists in the implementation of, utilizes and helps maintains MFA (multi-factor authentication) in order to safeguard administrative privileges on network devices, and administrative toolsets. Helps maintain and secure cloud infrastructure using SDN. Assists with engineering, design, and project management of network systems projects. Develops and maintains diagrams documenting company networks. Assists in technology evaluation and selection processes, ensuring compatibility between client requirements and technical performance. Documents analysis and recommendations. Effectively communicates with clients, peers and supervision by blending appropriate levels of technical and business detail to ensure issues are thoroughly understood by his/her audience. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers, vendors and management. Works in cooperation with IT Security to ensure that we are in compliance with Enterprise Security standards and that the company’s Network security is not compromised. Supports NERC-CIP compliance and ensures that electronic and physical security policies are followed. Assists in establishing processes and procedures that streamline and reduce costs. Assists in managing and improving costs of budgeted Capital and Operational and Maintenance activities.
