The Platform Innovation and Engineering is seeking a passionate architect with extensive experience building and driving complex platforms and systems. What You Bring
Expertise and/or understanding in big data technologies and platforms.
Exceptional analytical, strategic and critical thinking skills; management by numbers with demonstrable abilities in data-driven decision making.
Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, with 10 years experience in software development.
Successful track record of architecting, designing, and implementing complex, loosely coupled, scalable, and secure software systems.
Rich experience in large-scale data processing, distributed system performance tuning, multi-thread programming, cloud-based systems.
Passionate, self-driven, and team player that can lead through influence and collaboration in a federated environment.
Experience designing/developing service (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) based systems used at an enterprise level.
Experience with all aspects of using the public cloud at scale within an a large enterprise including: translating on-prem deployment models to how applications would be deployed on the public cloud, cloud security patterns, multi-account / multi-region architectures, change management involved in migrating development teams to the public cloud etc.

Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or above (Computer Science, Bio Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering or any related field)
Proficient understanding and tech-lead level experience in one or more programming languages (Java, Scala, Python etc.)
7 years of Cloud-based big data platform development experience
Strong Java experience
Experience with JSON, RESTful web services and client-server interactions
Knowledge of various persistence (RDBMS, noSQL, HDFS, Cassandra, Redis)
Understanding Data Catalog, Data Governance, Data Lineage
Experience with security, authentication in data platform
Experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Spark-Streaming or Flink
Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
Experience with building data lakes and data warehouses by leveraging any of the major cloud providers (GCP, AWS or Azure) is highly desirable
Familiar with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, HBase etc.), especially Spark
