Data Software Engineer - Executive Director','200032945','!*!   CIB Wholesale Payments is undertaking an expansion of its international merchant acquiring capabilities and alternative methods of payments for the product line. As a technology platform owner, you will be responsible for the efficiency, quality, and availability of data for both internal and external consumption. The position includes responsibility for hiring, retaining, evaluating, and leading team members. This is a strategic role that helps drives the operational planning and success of Data Availability, Engineering and Operations while also championing new technologies and methodologies which lead to more efficient data ingestion and utilization. Primary Responsibilities: Define and champion the big data strategy; lead the adoption and implementation of data technologies for large-scale, high-volume data solutions including data ingestion, analytics, and DaaSGrow and mentor agile teams focused on data delivery, encouraging highest standards of software craftsmanship and contribution to engineering and business goals. Partner with product, architecture, and engineering teams to develop roadmaps, define features, forecast estimations and business delivery timelines.Ensure solutions meet security requirements, including handling of PCI Data StandardsWork with the Data Engineering and Infrastructure teams on data availability and capacity planning.Drive data solutions across multiple geographical locations, meeting data governance, risk & controls, and standardization requirementsIteratively improve processes and automation to reduce failures and increase data load speeds for on-prem and cloud solutions.Act as a technology leadership resource and facilitate communications, problem resolution, and effective delivery both within and outside the team ','!*!Qualifications: Minimum of 12 years of experience with 6 years managing people In-depth understanding of inner workings of big data technologies like Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, MapReduce, Hive/Pig, Impala/Drill, Sagemaker, Athena, Glue, EMR, S3, Glacier storageExperience leveraging big data environments/frameworks to deploy analytical services. Proven experience building and delivering a Big Data Platform including server builds, building tools and services that leverage data pipelines and compute resources efficientlyExtensive experience with relational (Redshift, memSQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) DBMS (such as HBase, MongoDb, Cassandra)Experience building streaming or batch processing data pipeline. Experience with cloud and other emerging technology solutions in enterprise data management. Experience implementing customer data integration / master data management processes. Experience with microservices /API development, management and have a solid understanding of distributed system concepts. Experience working with automated build and continuous integration systems Possess a can-do, no-problem-too-big-or-too-small attitude. Experience building, motivating, and leading teams to solve problems and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
