This position is available for undergraduate students to participate in supervised practical training in a professional field. Under general supervision with limited review, this position supports the design and development of advanced electrical components, equipment and systems for unmanned air vehicles. Assignments are normally accompanied by general instructions and suggestions, outlining possible approaches, sources or information.DUTIES AND RESPONSILIBILITIES:Responsible primarily for digital designs targeting Xilinx FPGAs but with some elements of analog interface and power conversion circuit design with appropriate analysis and/or CAD modeling.Responsible for designs that may include microprocessors and vector processors generated using high level design tools.Desirable areas of experience: System on Chip.Desirable tool experience: Xilinx ISE, Vivado, Matlab, Simulink.
