Job Summary
The Cloud Native Application Platforms (CNAP) team at Comcast exists to remove infrastructure heavy lifting from Comcast product and development teams. We build and operate modern, multi-cloud application platforms using technologies such as Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes. We enrich these platforms by layering on easy-to-consume services such as load balancing, persistent storage, metrics and telemetry, messaging, CI/CD, and data services. We remove infrastructure bottlenecks, such as submitting request tickets, by automating everything. Our mission is to enable our product teams to forget about managing infrastructure so they can focus on writing code and bringing their products and services to market as fast as possible with high quality. The CNAP team is seeking a Manager for our Engineering team to lead a team of platform engineers in the building of solutions that optimize and automate the activities of the team's Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes-based platforms. Responsibilities include recruiting, coaching, and mentoring highly technical individuals; partnering with the CNAP Operations and Product Delivery teams to consistently deliver platform experiences; and working with cross-functional teams such as application developers, infrastructure providers, and cybersecurity to ensure operational plans are aligned to business objectives. Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Leads team in the development of automated solutions and processes that optimizes the management ofCloud Native Application Platforms
Partner with the Operations and Product Delivery teams to understand and implement proper release management processes for CNAP Products
Develop roadmaps, ensure their timely implementation, and proactively report on progress
Work with cross-functional teams such as the Developers, Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams while promoting a customer-driven service culture
Ensures that all implementations comply with CNAP and Comcast technical and security requirements
Derive and publish metrics that show the value of our automated solutions and processes
Drive adoption of agile methodologies and participate in scrum planning and grooming sessions
Develops, recruits, trains, mentors and motivates staff members in accordance with best practices and procedures developed by management.
Strong leadership for boosting morale, resolving conflicts, and maintaining team productivity.
Effectively bridge technical and business concepts according to the target audience.
Execute the team vision to expand team capabilities and influence across Comcast.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work variable schedule as necessary.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 7 year's relevant experience leading people in a technology platform or software development position
Understanding of cloud-native and 12-factor application design principles
Experience in private and public cloud IaaS (vSphere, AWS, GCP, Azure), PaaS (Cloud Foundry), and container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker)
Experience in using open source software to solve for business outcomes
Experience with Agile methodologies, effective working independently and in a virtual team setting.

Pay Range: This job can be performed in Denver Campus, with a Pay Range of $129,494.92 USD - $194,242.39 USD
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
