If so, an exciting opportunity as a Data Engineer 2 within the Claims Cost Management team at Humana awaits you. You will be part of a team whose primary focus is on building data-driven analytical solutions to prevent fraudulent claims.
Responsibilities
Humana is looking for a Database Engineer 2 to lead important projects in design, development, implementation and management of databases for Claims Cost Management (CCM). Maintaining in-depth knowledge and expertise of database technologies, along with solid programming skills in Python, and interest in NLP are key to success in this role.
The Database Engineer 2 will:
Develop database architectures to address business requirements, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability
Design database applications such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms and data partitions to enable efficient access of the generic database structure
Create plans for architecture updates and integrates new systems with existing warehouse structure to refine performance/functionality
Use python for data mining tasks on unstructured clinical data, and to build relational databases from unstructured data

Required Qualifications (MUST haves!)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
Experience designing, developing, and testing of data pipelines and infrastructure
2 years of database management experience
2 years of SQL Server and SSIS
2 years of Python experience
Experience leading project delivery
Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Work at Home/Remote Requirements
Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
Preferred Qualifications (A BIG Plus!)
Experience with Azure
PMP or Six Sigma certified
Comprehensive understanding of the SDLC lifecycle
Azure Certified Data Engineer
Experience with NLP
