Description

Humana is looking for a Database Engineer 2 to lead important projects in design, development, implementation and management of databases for Claims Cost Management (CCM). Maintaining in-depth knowledge and expertise of database technologies, along with solid programming, design and system analysis skills are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

The Database Engineer 2 will:

Develop database architectures to address business requirements, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability

Design database applications such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms and data partitions to enable efficient access of the generic database structure

Create plans for architecture updates and integrates new systems with existing warehouse structure to refine performance/functionality

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience

2 years of database management experience

2 years of SQL Server and SSIS

Experience designing, developing, and testing of data pipelines and infrastructure

Experience leading project delivery

Must meet Humana work-at-home/remote requirements (see Additional Information)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Azure

PMP or Six Sigma certified

Comprehensive understanding of the SDLC lifecycle

Azure Certified Data Engineer
